James was born in Canterbury, England. He began his career in television production before retraining as an English Literature teacher. He has taught internationally in Myanmar, Brazil, Tanzania and Spain. James has recently bought a house in El Puerto de Santa María, which he enjoys working on. Outside the classroom, he is a keen scuba diver and also enjoys playing football.
