Houses
OUR HOUSE SYSTEM
The Sage College house system is an integral part of our school community. Our four houses are Earth (green), Fire (red), Water (blue), and Air (yellow). Each student is assigned to a house upon entering the school, and members of the same family belong to the same house. Students remain in the same house throughout their school career.
Each house is led by house captains, who assist in the organization and delivery of events throughout the year, such as the Eco-Warriors, math championships, and Sports Day. The house system seeks to motivate students through the opinions and enthusiasm of the group to achieve higher standards in academics, behavior, and physical education.
At each monthly assembly, the house points are tallied, and the house captains announce the results. At the end of the school year, during the awards ceremony, the House Cup is presented to the winning house. An Interhouse Sports Cup is also awarded.
We believe our Sage homes are essential for fostering teamwork and community spirit.

ACTIVE PARTICIPATION OF OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY
At Sage College, we believe that educational success depends on the active participation of everyone: staff, students, families, and the community. Effective relationships are strengthened through collaboration and open communication.
Our commitment to a comprehensive education is reflected in the existence of the Student Council and the Parent Council, two essential bodies that drive school life beyond the classroom.
The Student Council encourages student participation in issues that affect them, promoting the values of Sage College and contributing to the well-being of the school community through the exercise of rights and responsibilities.
Its main functions are:
- Hold monthly meetings.
- Plan and organize events.
- Represent the opinions and needs of students.
- Actively participate in school assemblies.

“The purpose of our Student Council is to encourage students to become involved in issues that concern them both inside and outside of school.”
Emily Westwood
(Head of Pastoral)

The Parent Council is a group of Sage College parents who work for the benefit of the school, supporting various school initiatives and contributing to the development of events that enrich the educational program, promote intercultural thinking, and foster coexistence among the entire educational community.
The Parent Council has been a key player in charity activities such as the Sage Xmas Fair, Charity Bake Sales, Sage Fest, and they also develop their own activities such as Sage International Day.
In addition, this group plays a key role in supporting and mentoring new families, facilitating their integration into both schools and the community. To foster closeness and create bonds, they also organize informal get-togethers in different municipalities, such as breakfasts, beach days, or family outings.
If you’d like to contact them, you can write to parentcouncil@sagecollege.eu.

“The Parent Council offers parents the opportunity to collaborate with the school, share their perspectives, and help foster a positive school environment. We also host events where parents can connect and meet each other.”
