Houses

OUR HOUSE SYSTEM

The Sage College house system is an integral part of our school community. Our four houses are Earth (green), Fire (red), Water (blue), and Air (yellow). Each student is assigned to a house upon entering the school, and members of the same family belong to the same house. Students remain in the same house throughout their school career.

Each house is led by house captains, who assist in the organization and delivery of events throughout the year, such as the Eco-Warriors, math championships, and Sports Day. The house system seeks to motivate students through the opinions and enthusiasm of the group to achieve higher standards in academics, behavior, and physical education.

At each monthly assembly, the house points are tallied, and the house captains announce the results. At the end of the school year, during the awards ceremony, the House Cup is presented to the winning house. An Interhouse Sports Cup is also awarded.

We believe our Sage homes are essential for fostering teamwork and community spirit.

STUDENT VOICE, LEADERSHIP AND RESPONSIBILITY

The Student Council provides students with a structured platform to actively participate in school life and contribute to matters that directly affect them. Through representation, dialogue, and collaboration, it promotes the values of Sage College while encouraging responsibility, respect, and a strong sense of community.

By taking part in the Student Council, students develop leadership skills, learn to express their opinions constructively, and play an active role in supporting the wellbeing of the school community, both inside and beyond the classroom.

The main functions of the Student Council include:

  • Holding regular meetings to discuss student-related matters

  • Planning and organising student-led initiatives and events

  • Representing the views, ideas, and needs of the student body

  • Actively participating in school assemblies and wider school life

Parent Council

SUPPORTING OUR FAMILIES, BUILDING COMMUNITY

The Parent Council is a group of Sage College parents who work closely with the school to support initiatives that enrich the educational experience, promote intercultural understanding, and strengthen the sense of community among families, students, and staff.

In addition to their involvement in school life, the Parent Council plays an important role in supporting families, offering guidance and reassurance to help ease their transition into the school environment and the wider community.

The Parent Council actively contributes to charitable and community-building events such as the Sage Xmas Fair, Charity Bake Sales, Sage Fest, and Sage International Day, and also organises informal gatherings that encourage connection and engagement among families.

Families wishing to contact the Parent Council or request support can do so by writing to parentcouncil@sagecollege.eu.
