On Friday, October 31, Sage College will once again come alive with the spirit of Sageoween — a day filled with fun, laughter, and creativity. Students and teachers will take part in a lively programme of activities coordinated by the Senior Leadership Team and Emily Westwood, Head of Pastoral, including a costume parade, House games, a spooky disco, and our traditional Sageoween Awards Ceremony.
This year’s celebration will also include a brand-new Decorated Pumpkin Contest, inviting students and families to showcase their artistic flair by designing and decorating pumpkins. These creations will be displayed throughout the school, bringing a touch of colour and festive spirit to the campus.
Sageoween is one of the most anticipated events of the year — an opportunity for students to express themselves, collaborate, and bring their ideas to life through imagination and teamwork. At Sage College, we believe that every celebration is an opportunity to learn, create, and inspire. This special day is not about fear, but about transforming something traditionally “dark” into something bright, joyful, and positive.
To ensure that everyone can enjoy the celebration, we kindly ask families to help students choose costumes that are creative, story-driven, and age-appropriate, avoiding those that focus on violence, blood, or gore. Our aim is that every child, from Early Years to Sixth Form, feels comfortable, confident, and excited to take part. Secondary students are also encouraged to act as role models, showing leadership and kindness towards younger pupils and helping to make the day memorable for all.
Let’s make Sageoween 2025 a day where the entire Sage College community shines with colour, creativity, and joy — a celebration of imagination, friendship, and the magic of learning together.
