Baked Apple Bites by Our Chef Arrate 🍎

As part of our new blog series, our wonderful Sage College chef, Arrate, thought it would be a great idea to share some of her signature recipes with our community. The aim is simple: to help our students and families enjoy healthy food without leaving flavour or the pleasure of eating behind.

These baked apple bites are one of her go-to healthy snacks. They are naturally sweet, incredibly easy to prepare, and perfect for school lunchboxes or an afternoon treat at home.

Cooking time: 15 minutes
Servings: 10 portions

Ingredients:
• 5 apples
• Cinnamon
• Oats
• Honey (optional)

How to make them:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.

  2. Wash the apples and slice them in half.

  3. Place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

  4. Brush lightly with honey (optional), then sprinkle cinnamon and oats on top.

  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until soft and lightly golden.

Chef’s tip:
Always preheat the oven and use baking paper to prevent the apples from sticking to the tray.

Super easy to make and incredibly tasty.
